About

The Weathermen

With many years experience in the Melbourne music scene, The Weathermen have developed a distinct style of their own. Led by the vocal harmonies of Seb Cunningham and Bec Watts, with Dylan Bird on mandolin and banjo, Sam McCabe on bass and Tim Hennessy on cello,  the band plays a haunting mix of folk, country and old-time jazz – a confluence of each of the members’ divergent musical backgrounds. The band has been likened to acts such as Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits and Feist, though upon listening one is hard-pressed to link them to any single genre. Having released their debut EP in 2010, the group is now in the process of recording its first album, which will be released later this year. In the meantime, you can catch The Weathermen playing at a range of venues and festivals throughout Victoria.
